Privacy Policy

Effective September 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ScalerGig LLC (“ScalerGig,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use www.scalergig.com and our related services (the “Service”). It applies to dental professionals who create profiles (“Job Seekers”), to dental practices and organizations that post jobs (“Employers”), and to visitors to our website.

The short version. We collect what we need to message you about dental jobs near you and to show your profile to practices that are hiring. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. The sections below cover the rest — what we collect, who sees it, and how to get it deleted.

1. Information You Give Us

1.1 Job Seekers. When you create and maintain a profile, we collect:

We ask for your home address for one reason: to measure driving distance between where you live and where the jobs are. Your home address and the pay you are looking for are never shown to Employers. The rest of your profile, including your name, contact details, licensure and resume, is shown to an Employer when you respond to their job.

1.2 Employers. When you post a job, we collect information about your practice and the person posting on its behalf, the content of the posting itself, and — if you purchase a package — billing information. Card numbers are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach our servers. We receive only a confirmation, the last four digits and the transaction record.

1.3 Everyone. If you contact us by email, phone or text, we keep that correspondence and anything you include in it.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

4. Text Messages, Calls and Email

Job alerts by text are the core of the Service for Job Seekers. You agree to receive them through a separate disclosure shown when you sign up, not by accepting this policy.

We also send service messages you cannot opt out of while your account is open — one-time login codes, receipts and account notices — because the account does not work without them.

You can stop marketing and job alert messages at any time, by any reasonable means:

We honor these requests within 10 business days at the latest, and normally immediately. We do not sell, rent or license your phone number to anyone.

5. How We Share Information

5.1 With Employers. When you respond to a job posting, or when your profile matches a posting an Employer has purchased, we provide that Employer with your profile information other than your home address and desired wage. Once an Employer has your information, we cannot recall it, and their use of it is governed by their own practices and their obligations under our Terms of Use, not by this policy.

5.2 With Job Seekers. Job postings, including the practice name and location, are shown to matched Job Seekers and may be published on public job platforms.

5.3 With service providers. We use a small number of vendors to run the Service. They may process personal information only on our written instructions, only to provide their service to us, and not for their own purposes. They are:

5.4 For legal reasons. We may disclose information where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process or a governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Use; or to protect the rights, safety or property of ScalerGig, our users or the public.

5.5 Business transfer. If ScalerGig is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to honor this policy, and we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different policy.

6. What We Do Not Do

These are commitments, not descriptions of the current market:

If any of this ever changes, we will update this policy and give you notice before the change takes effect, as described in Section 13.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of cookies:

We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

8. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Some browsers and extensions send an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). These signals ask a site to stop selling or sharing personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising in the first place, so there is nothing for such a signal to switch off — your data is already treated the way GPC asks. If we ever begin any activity a GPC signal would cover, we will honor the signal and say so here before we do.

9. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, and no longer.

In practice, how long that is depends on:

When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it so that it can no longer be linked to you. You can ask us to delete your information at any time under Section 10.

10. Your Choices and Rights

10.1 Everyone. Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it and close your account. Email support@scalergig.com from the address on your account, or write to us at the address in Section 15. You can also update most of your information yourself by logging in, and change your alert settings there at any time.

10.2 State privacy rights. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, Maryland, Tennessee, Iowa, Utah, Indiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have some or all of these rights, depending on the law in their state:

  • To know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to;
  • To access a copy of it, in a portable format;
  • To correct inaccurate information;
  • To delete it, subject to the exceptions the law allows;
  • To opt out of the sale of personal information, of sharing for targeted advertising, and of profiling with legal or similarly significant effects — we do none of these, so there is nothing to opt out of;
  • To limit the use of sensitive personal informationwe do not collect sensitive personal information as these laws define it. We do not ask for a Social Security number, driver’s license or state ID number, financial account credentials, health information, biometric or genetic data, or precise device geolocation; and
  • Not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you the Service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service because you exercised a privacy right.

10.3 How we handle a request. We will verify your identity before acting, normally by confirming control of the email address or phone number on your account. We respond within 45 days, and may extend once by another 45 days where a request is complex, in which case we will tell you why. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

10.4 Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request. We will ask for proof that you authorized them, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity.

10.5 If we say no — your right to appeal. If we decline your request, we will tell you why. You may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing support@scalergig.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond to an appeal within 45 days (60 days in Colorado) with a written explanation. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General — in Virginia, at oag.state.va.us.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls limiting who at ScalerGig can see what, one-time-code login rather than stored passwords for Job Seekers, and a payment flow in which card numbers never reach our servers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your account by keeping control of the phone number and email address associated with it, and tell us promptly at support@scalergig.com if you think someone else has accessed it.

12. Children

The Service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it and close the account. If you believe a person under 18 has given us information, contact support@scalergig.com.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. If we make changes that materially change these terms, we will notify you of such changes by reasonable means. The revised policy will also be posted on the website.

14. Where We Operate

ScalerGig is based in Virginia and the Service is operated from and intended for use in the United States. Information we collect is stored and processed in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
